Mitas – sustainability and environmental protection

Mitas is involved in aspects of sustainability that create long-term values, improve performance and matter to customers, employees and shareholders.

Mitas is part of the new climate target

Mitas is part of Trelleborg Group and in January 2021, Trelleborg announced a new climate strategy, which addresses the 1.5 degrees of Celsius target for society. This effort aims to reduce direct and indirect CO2 emissions by 50 percent related to sales by 2025. Furthermore, the ambition is to eliminate all emissions from Trelleborg Group operations completely by 2035.

The operating facilities where Mitas tyres are produced, are intensifying sustainability work to become increasingly energy efficient in production and administration.

Mitas tyres are gentle to the environment as well as infrastructure, reducing environmental impact by saving fuel, cutting emissions and protecting the soil.
