Mitas mobile app helps farmers select the right tyre pressure

Prague, January 11, 2017 – Mitas, part of Trelleborg Group, is introducing a new mobile tyre pressure app for Android and iOS devices but also for Windows phone*.

The new app will allow farmers to easily find the right pressure for their tyres to achieve the best results in the field and on the road. Farmers just need to select the tyres size they are using, the set up speed and cargo weight, and the right tyre pressure immediately display on the screen of their mobile phone. The Mitas application can be downloaded here:

Pavel Kott, Product Manager for Mitas agricultural tyres, says: “Mitas is aware of the importance of the correct tyre pressure settings for agricultural work. Tyres with the right pressure not only cause less damage to the soil through compaction but also provide better traction, lower slippage and positively influence fuel consumption.”

The user-friendly interface of the Mitas tyre pressure app allows farmers to quickly choose their tyres from a list of available Mitas tyre sizes and tread patterns. Full text search by parameters is also an option. The speed can be set in kilometers or miles per hour and the cargo weight (load per tyre) either in kilograms or pounds. The resulting tyre pressure is presented in BAR or PSI.

“Correct tyre pressure is key factor which influences the productivity of agricultural work and I believe this new mobile app brings added value to our customers, the farmers,” concludes Kott.
